Protect Trans Kids Shirt, hoodie, Long sleeve, Sweatshirt, Tank top, Ladies Tees
Protect Trans Kids Shirt. This shirt was created to help raise money to fight North Carolina’s anti-trans law HB2 (https://www.aclu.org/blog/lgbt-rights/hb2-law-transgender-rights). It shows an image of my hand holding an American Flag heart painted with the transgender pride flag colors and a supportive message.
The Protect Trans Kids t-shirt gives the message that we should be protecting trans kids, not harassing them. It features our planet looking closely at the faces of a boy and a girl with the slogan ‘I am somebody’ underneath. A rainbow shines brightly in the background to symbolise the diversity of our society, which makes the most beautiful music when all the different notes are played together. It is designed by David Vázquez Borrego who is an internationally renowned artist promoting equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex people (LGBTI). The photomontage measures 15 x 19 cm and includes two signatures from David Vázquez Borrego (front bottom left hand side) and The Albert Kennedy Trust (top centre).
Shirt that reads Protect Trans Kids to show support for transgender kids and their safety.
Transgender youth face alarmingly high levels of bullying and harassment in school. This shirt is symbolic of solidarity with trans kids, letting other trans kids and their classmates know they are not alone. The front of the shirt is printed with the empowering message: “Protect Trans Kids” and the back of the shirt has the transgender pride flag.
