I read my 1st Tom Wolfe novel when I had just turned 17 and now 10 years later, the same author continues to thrill me his unique blend of writing which is a mixture of incisive journalistic skill and an amazing sense of humor. Admittedly, his last book left quite a bit to be desired but when I heard the news that Back to Blood by Tom Wolfe was going to be released later this month, boy I knew I had to get my hands on an advance review copy of this!

Luckily though, I did manage this through a special friend of mine and to put it in a short way, Back to Blood is one hell of a snappy read that’s filled with a host of interesting characters. It has a fast paced plot and with Wolfe’s unique bright writing style, we have a winner on our hands.

This is a comeback sort for Tom Wolfe considering that his last book was published way back in 2004 (which incidentally was panned by critics) but I’m pretty confident that Back to Blood is a return to form for Wolfe.
